Regardless of the transfer method you choose for your Transfer job description, FORMS deletes transferred forms and sets from the form database unless you deselect Delete transferred forms in the The Transfer job options dialog. It is selected by default.
Some reasons why you might want to deselect Delete transferred forms:
To increase speed during the transfer process.
To provide greater security. The transferred forms can be recreated if anything goes wrong with the transfer.
If you are experimenting with transaction descriptions or different settings in the Transfer job, to avoid having to repeat the Scan, Interpret and Verify processes each time you want to try a new Transfer job or transaction description. How?
When you deselect the Delete transferred forms option in the Transfer job options dialog, forms and sets receive the status Transferred as they are successfully transferred.
After transfer, you must do one of the following:
Delete transferred forms to complete that step manually
Delete transferred sets if you transferred sets
Change the status of transferred forms to Complete if you would like to re-transfer forms
Change the status of transferred sets to Complete if you would like to re-transfer sets
When a transfer has been successfully completed or you are finished experimenting with transferring forms, we recommend that you delete forms (or sets) from the database in order to free up valuable space.
