Process Images activity: Remove noise

When configuring a Process Images activity, you can use the Remove noise function to remove unnecessary pixels (noise) from the document's TIFF media.

These settings are available:

Median filter

Removes noise from an image by using a 3x3 median filter.

Despeckle filter

Removes noise from an image by using a filter.

Specified size

Removes specks having a specified maximum size (pixels) from the image.

Work on multi-TIFF

Select if the function is to be used on multi-TIFF media, too.

Work on empty pages

Select if the processing is applied to media whose Empty flag is set.

Additional medium information

Type a value to save in the image properties. (This text will not be visible on the image.) If additional information already exists there, what you enter here will be separated by a semicolon from the existing information. Example:

Before:  ExistingInfo

After:  ExistingInfo;NewInfo

Apply to specific area

Select to remove noise in a specific area of the image. Then click to specify the area.

Continue if error occurs

Continues the process despite errors.
