Process Images activity

This activity is used to post-process images and, if desired, add a barcode or text. The functions listed below are available when configuring a process step of this type. They are used in the order you define them. They are applied recursively (to the root document and all sub-documents).

After you add a function, specify its settings by double-clicking the function. Alternatively, select the function and then click the Parameter Set button ().

Note: This activity must be assigned to an Activities Service in order to run.

If for some reason you need to add this activity to the Process Designer, the file to add is xboundActImageProcessing.dll.

Add barcode to image	Adds barcodes to TIFF images.
Add text to image	Adds text to images.
Binarize image	Implements an algorithm for binarizing color and half-tone images.
Create thumbnails	Creates thumbnail preview images.
Crop border	Removes black or white margins from TIFF media.
Crop images	Crops images.
Delete media	Deletes media according to specified settings.
Deskew	Straightens skewed TIFF and JPEG images.
Remove noise	Removes unnecessary pixels (noise) from the document's TIFF media.
Remove punch holes	Removes punch holes from images.
Rotate image	Rotates images.
Scale image	Resizes images.

These settings are also available:

Import button	Imports settings from an XML file that was previously created using Export.
Export button	Exports the settings to an XML file. Specify the file name and location. You can then import the XML file to get the same settings. See Exporting and importing process step settings.
Check regular expression link	Opens a test form, where you can (when applicable) check a regular expression.
