Use the settings to select which columns to display in a log view or in the pane of the Process Monitor. These columns are available:
| Can be used to group certain log messages thematically. For audit messages the value is always 99. |
| The client that the message pertains to. |
| The collector that was used, if any. |
| Whether the message is "confirmed". (For details see Filtering, sorting, grouping, and hiding log messages.) |
| The user who "confirmed" the log message. |
| When the message was generated. |
| The document that the message is associated with. |
| The complete text of the message. |
The activity that the message pertains to. | |
| The user who most recently changed the message (for example by "confirming" it). |
Debug, Information, Warning, or Error. (See Setting up logging for details.) | |
| The unique ID of the message in the log database. |
| The medium's unique identifying number. |
| The name of the medium, for example the file name. |
| Each type of message has a message number. Tip: You can set the Agent for Notification to send email each time messages with message numbers are generated. |
| The process that the message pertains to. |
| The process step that the message pertains to. |
| The unique message ID (a three-letter abbreviation) from the activity specified in the column. |
| The name of the service on which the activity was running. |
| The sub-document that the message is associated with. |
| An abbreviated text of the message. (Select to see all the details.) |
| The user who was running the program when the message was generated. |
| The workstation where the program was running when the message was generated. |

| The location of the file that was used when the message was generated. |
| The line of code that caused the problem, if available. |
| The method or function that was used when the message was generated, if available. |
