The Edit Privilege dialog

ClosedTo access this dialog:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Security Manager.

  2. In the Console pane, expand Security Manager and then select Privilege Manager.

    (If the Console pane is not visible on the left, select View > Console view.)

  3. Click the New Privilege Definition () or New Sub-Privilege Definition () button.

    Or select a privilege that you want to change and click the Edit Privilege Definition button ().

Use these settings to add or change a privilege definition:

General settings

Name

The name of the privilege.

Identifier

The ID of the privilege. The developer of an application must use this identifier to query the privilege.

Supplier

The supplier of the privilege.

Scope

The level at which the privilege applies: Global, Clients, and/or Processes.

Localizations table

Language column

The languages the privilege is available in. If XBOUND is available in other languages, add each language.

Display name column

The name that is displayed in the left pane of the Privilege Manager.

Description column

The optional description of the privilege.

Default language column

The language in which the description is displayed if no description is available in the language of the operating system.
