The first step of the wizard enables you to specify whether you want to merge an entire class, or various elements of a class. Additionally, you can copy the existing localization for the selected class elements or the entire classes to the destination project. Select one of the following:

Copy class elements

Select this setting if there are one or more elements in a class in a source project that you want to copy to a destination project. Examples include validation rules, locator methods, and fields. The following steps are available for this setting:

• Load the projects

• Select the classes to merge

• Select the validation forms to merge

• Select the fields to merge

• Select the locators to merge

• View which validation rules merge

• Select whether to merge the script

• Review the selections

• Validate and merge the projects

Copy one or more entire classes

Select this setting to copy one or more entire classes and all of their contents from a source project to a destination project. The following sequence of steps are available for this setting:

• Load the projects

• Select the classes to merge

• Review the selections

• Validate and save the projects

Copy localization

Select this setting to merge translations of the source project with those of the destination project to update the project localization.

Copy online learning settings

Select this setting to copy the online learning settings from the source project to the destination project.

After selecting the type of merge, click Next to proceed to the next step in the wizard, or click Cancel to exit the Project Merge Tool without merging the two projects.
