Resolved issues

This topic lists previously reported issues that are resolved in Kofax eCopy ShareScan 6.4.0. Each Kofax eCopy ShareScan product release is cumulative and includes the resolved issues from earlier releases.

Imported QuickConnect profiles not working

1586226: Imported QuickConnect profiles configured with a Connector destination and created in an earlier ShareScan 6.x version did not work properly.

Cannot configure SMTP server port in Notification service

1585556: In the Notification service, the SMTP server port could not be configured.

Limitation when storing index fields (QuickConnect)

1582501: In QuickConnect connector, only character type database fields could be configured for storing index fields when the index file was configured for Database format with an OLE DB Provider, such as the OLE DB Provider for PostgreSQL.

Proper user credentials not used

1581798: The Smart Forms Extender and the Forms Processing Extender did not use the proper user credentials configured in Form Template Editor for executing the "export page to exception folder" advanced zone operation action.

Documents not sent to correct fax number (Fax via SMTP)

1581349: In batching workflows, the Fax via SMTP connector did not send each document to the proper fax number retrieved from Data Publishing.

Selected Windows folder instead of IMAP folder

1581084: When the Move failed jobs to setting of an IMAP email inbox watcher was configured, the user could select a Windows folder instead of an IMAP folder on the configured email server.

Missing Data Publishing Keys (QuickConnect, Scan to File, Data Lookup Extender)

1576059: After restarting the ShareScan Agent service, Data Publishing Key configurations of the QuickConnect / Scan To File connector profiles and the Data Lookup Extender profiles did not appear in the Administration Console.

OpenText Content Server connector not configured

1575998: OpenText Content Server connector could not be configured with Web services protocol when deploying Content Web Services application on a Java application server.

Issue with refreshing thumbnail images

1572454: A thumbnail image refresh issue occurred intermittently when the user deleted a scanned page on the Preview form.

Note value not preserved (Fax via Exchange)

1557972: The Fax via Exchange connector did not preserve the Note value specified in the previous workflow after the user selected New Document on the Redirect screen.

Fixed spelling error on import device data from file dialog

1546223: Fixed spelling error on the dialog appearing when the user wants to import device data from file.

Data Publishing Keys mapped to watchers were not displayed

1545083: Data Publishing Keys mapped to watchers were not displayed if the Data Publishing Mapper tool was opened from the connector profile settings pane.

Copies value set incorrectly with Scan to Printer connector

1538634: When the Scan to Printer connector was used, Copies value were set to 0 incorrectly after the user selected a different printer.

Incorrect file format and extension for uploaded RTF documents (Documentum)

1530050: The Documentum connector uploaded the RTF documents into the Documentum Server repository with the improper file format and extension.

Unable to save Express Documentum connector profile

1528708: The Express Documentum connector profile could not be saved if it was created using the Express wizard.

Workflow issue with extenders

1528169: An issue occurred in a workflow configured with Forms Overlay Extender and Debooklet Extender when the user tried to scan more pages after navigating back to the Preview form from a connector form.

Invalid field values due to translation (Worksite)

1514014: If a non-English client language was configured, certain field values (such as certain values of the iManage Worksite server Class attribute) were sometimes translated unnecessarily thus resulting in an invalid field value.

Exchange Mail / Fax connector profiles

1514006: The Exchange Mail / Fax connector profiles created in an earlier ShareScan version can be used even after you modify at least one of these but not all in the current ShareScan version.

Invalid values for data publishing keys

1512899: After upgrading from eCopy ShareScan version 5.4, Smart Form Extender Data Publishing keys configured in Quick Connect or Data Lookup Extender profiles contained invalid values.

Document orientation

1512894: The Auto rotate/Auto-orient operation resulted in the incorrect orientation of the output document pages.

No notification email for failed watcher workflows

1511268: A notification email was not sent about failed watcher workflows.

Some connector profile settings did not reset

1499893: Generic connector profile settings (such as Workflow settings or Document settings) were not reset properly to their default values when the user clicked on the Reset current profile button on connector configuration pane.

Installation issue

1498020: If an eCopyShareScan database belonging to earlier installed ShareScan 6.4 server(s) already exists on a remote SQL server, and during installation of a new ShareScan 6.4 server, this SQL server is selected but a non-existing database name is specified, the new database with this name is created properly.

Certain tokens not updated

1466759: Using Exchange Mail, Fax via Exchange, SMTP via LDAP, or Fax via SMTP connectors, the $$SUBJECT$$ and $$NOTES$$ tokens were not updated properly with the current published key value during batching workflows. This issue occurred even if the configured Default subject or Default note connector profile setting values contained them as part of a larger text.

Inconsistent configuration options (Visual Workflow Editor)

1474820, 1489962, 1491890: When the Visual Workflow Editor was compared to the Settings pane during connector profile configuration, the following configuration options were inconsistent:

  • the date formats of the Advanced file naming date field
  • the advanced file naming preview
  • the output file formats
  • the PDF image compression options.
