Disabling a process step

Disabling a process step means stopping the process so that pending tasks are no longer processed. (However, tasks that are in progress are finished). The documents are no longer automatically routed to the next step, and you can see what documents look like in this process step. This is useful when testing a process.

Note: Only the process step you disable is actually paused. Processing continues on documents that are approaching or have already passed the disabled step.

Use this procedure to disable process steps:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Process Monitor.

  2. Select the process step(s) you want to disable.

    You can select more than one process step by clicking them while holding the Ctrl key or by dragging a frame around them with the mouse.

  3. Click the Pause Process Step button:

Disabled process steps have a red "pause" symbol on them.

Restart a disabled process step by selecting it and clicking Start Process Step:
