Snapshots in Communication Manager Designer

At top level, Communication Manager Designer displays a number of projects organized in groups. Projects are used to organize content development. For more information about projects in Designer, refer to the Actions on projects .

Next to these projects Communication Manager Designer may display one or more snapshots. Snapshots contain a read-only copy of the content of a project as it was at the time when the snapshot was created. Snapshots are not used for organizing content development, but for controlling output composition. Each snapshot has a unique name, and Communication Manager Designer shows these in its tree view as <project name> (<snapshot name>), where the project name denotes the project from which the snapshot was created. For more information about snapshots, refer to the Scaling out composition topic in the Tungsten Communications Manager Installation Guide.
