Format the text in a document

Text Block Editor of KCM Designer provides access to styles that are determined by the paragraph styles list in the Text Block Style lists object.

When you create a numbered list in a Text Block and then use this Text Block multiple times in a single document, the list numbering is automatically restarted every time the Text Block is being used. In other words, each list will start with 1.

For Rich Text Blocks, in most cases, the list numbering is not restarted automatically. To change this behavior, you can use the reset lists pragma function. For more information, see the Pragma topic in the Kofax Communications Manager Template Scripting Language Developer's Guide.

The styling of the text in the Text Block Editor differs from the styling in the result document. Styling of the result document is implemented in KCM Designer and complies with the corporate identity of your organization. To look at the result document, see Test an object.

To apply extra formatting for Word output, see Create and edit a Word Style Sheet document. For extra formatting of HTML output, see Create and edit an HTML Style Sheet document.

Spell Checker in Text Block Editor
The Text Block Editor enables you to check the spelling of words in Text Blocks. The feature is based on the native browser spell checker functionality and may vary depending on the supported browser in use. To show spelling suggestions, Ctrl+Right-click a misspelled word.
