Create Communication (Quick Start)

This functionality allows user to quickly create a set of building blocks that can be used to produce multiple types of documents.

1. Click the project and navigate to Quick Start > Create Communication.
2. Provide the new communication's name.

After you provided the name, KCM automatically creates a minimal set of building blocks required for document composition. The set consists of the following elements:

• Standard Master Template

• Text Block

  The Text Block has the same name as the communication you created. It is created in a Text Block folder with the same name.

  You cannot use an existing name (including the path) of a Text Block in your project.

• Content Wizard

  The Content Wizard has the same name as the communication you created. It is created in a Content Wizard folder with the same name and refers to the newly created Text Block.

  You cannot use an existing name (including the path) of a Content Wizard in your project.

• Document Template

  The Document Template has the same name as the communication you created. It is based on the Standard Master Template. It's ContentWizard parameter has the newly created Content Wizard selected as its value.

  You cannot use an existing name of a Document Template in your project.

Designer for Web automatically displays the newly created Content Wizard. In its Uses and Used by sections, you can see the building blocks that were created for this communication.
