Changes in behavior

The Enable Portfolio PDF extraction option in the Advanced Conversion and Import tab of a Destination is now replaced with the Extract files with extension option in the Import settings tab.

Also, if you have enabled the Enable Portfolio PDF extraction option before upgrade, the Portfolio PDF file type is defined by default in the Extract files with extension option after upgrading to Kofax Import Connector 2.11.

The default configuration of previous releases allowed using folder import to read files from all local folders (including network locations mapped to a local drive) that can be read with the network service account or the configured Message Connector Service Account.

With this release, access to all local folders is denied by default. You can enable this access, for example, for full compatibility, by removing the '[Deny]' attribute from the Folder input base directory text box under Security options in Message Connector Configuration.

However, we recommend that you keep access to local folders denied as far as possible for security reasons.

Earlier, the default Output PDF format in the Advanced Conversion and Import tab of a destination was PDF/A-1b. Now, the default output PDF format is changed to PDF/A-2b.
