The Principles of Price Calculation
The Line Item Matching Locator uses the following line item values for calculation, and later for the matching process:
-
Quantity (Q)
-
Initial Unit Price (IUP)
-
Discount Rate (DR)
-
Discount Amount (DA)
-
Discount Unit Price (DUP) = IUP - IUP x DR
-
Tax Rate (TR)
-
Tax Amount (TA)
-
Gross Unit Price (GUP) = DUP + DUP x TR
-
Initial Total Price (ITP) = Q * IUP
-
Discounted Total Price (DTP) = Q x DUP
-
Gross Total Price (GTP) = Q x GUP
The locator handles tax and discount values as follows:
-
Tax Rate - When not present on the invoice, the Line Item Matching Locator calculates the tax rate from the tax amount using the tax rate settings for the selected country.
-
Tax Amount - When not present on the invoice, the Line Item Matching Locator calculates the amount from the tax rate.
-
Discount Rate - When not present on the invoice, the Line Item Matching Locator calculates the discount rate from the discount amount.
-
Discount Amount - When not present on the invoice, the Line Item Matching Locator calculates the amount from the discount rate.
- For the global column "Unit Price" - the calculated Discount Unit Price
- For the global column "Total Price" - the calculated Discounted Total Price
