Manage export connectors

You can add any number of export connectors in TotalAgility, where each connector is added as INF file. The INF file contains setup and component information that needs to be installed. When you add a connector, INF details are stored in TotalAgility database and the respective DLL is registered.

You can configure export connectors for processes and documents on one machine and then export and import the same onto a different machine. This helps to reuse connector configurations between environments without the need to set up the export connector all over again. You can export and import the mapping file which contains details of the processes and associated document types and export connector configurations that are defined using the export connector.

  1. On the Start menu, select All Programs > KofaxTotalAgility > Kofax Export Connector.

    The Export Connector Configuration window appears.

  2. Click Manage.

    The Export Connectors - Manage window appears with a list of available connectors.

  3. To export an export connector, do the following:
    1. Select an export connector. The Export option becomes available.
    2. Click Export .

      A message prompts you to confirm saving the export connector mappings file.

    3. Select the destination to save the mappings file and click Save.
  4. To import an export connector, do the following:
    1. Click Import .
    2. Click Browse and select the mappings file.

    Note the following:

    • The processes and export connectors of the same ProgID/Version must already exist on your computer, else import fails and an error message appears.

    • If a process or document type, or an export connector mapping being imported already exists, you can choose to overwrite or ignore.

    • Once the import is complete, the configuration for that connector and all processes and document type mappings are available.

  5. To add a connector, do the following:
    1. Click Add .
    2. In the Export Connectors - Add window, click Browse and select the export connector (.INF or .MSI file).

      Ensure that the .MSI file uses the Windows Installer. By default, the .MSI file installs the export connector at one of the following locations:

      • On a 64-bit machine:

        C:\Program Files (x86)\kofax\TotalAgility\ExportConnectors\bin

      • For a 32-bit machine:

        C:\Program Files\kofax\TotalAgility\ExportConnectors\bin

    3. Click Install.

      The export connector with the Setup version and Release version appears.

    4. Click Close.
  6. To delete an export connector from TotalAgility, select the connector and click .
  7. To view the properties of an installed connector, select the connector and click Settings.
