Power PDF contains a robust set of features you can use to work with PDF and XPS files. The following key functions are designed to help you optimize your PDF files:
Power PDF provides additional features to help streamline your work:
Create PDF Files
Create PDF files from Microsoft Windows applications using the included
Create Assistant, using or shortcut toolbars (when available.) When working in Microsoft
Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you can call on the program to create a PDF file
directly from your current document. In Microsoft Outlook, you can convert
attachments to PDF. When converting from Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint,
hyperlinks and comments can be transferred and you can set bookmarks to be generated
from the structure of the Word document, from the worksheet names or the slide
titles. Metadata (subject, author, keywords) can be transferred from Word, Excel and
PowerPoint documents to the PDF files created from them. You can create PDF files
from web pages in internet browsers, using a browser extension, or you can create PDF archive from a complete website with Power PDF.
PDF files you create can be protected by passwords and can include watermarks.
Compression and font settings give you control over PDF file size and appearance.
Edit PDF Files
Power PDF gives you extensive control over your PDF files: through easy-to-use browsing,
reading and editing interfaces. You can edit pages and documents, annotate and
review them, adjust document security, sign your documents, and more. PDF documents
can be compiled from different sources, and pages can be rearranged. The program
delivers a powerful document management system: use it to create archives from
related documents to index and search them later.
When using web browsers, Power PDF can display hosted or referenced PDF files.
Convert PDF Files
Convert Assistant, included with this product, lets you
turn PDF files into fully-formatted Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Corel
WordPerfect, and RTF files that you can edit. The program offers four types of
conversions, resulting in standard documents, legal documents, forms or
spreadsheets.
Create fillable PDF Forms
The FormTyper feature in Power PDF allows you to turn any PDF – even a scanned PDF – into electronic forms that you can complete, save and route entirely online. You can add form elements to your PDF manually and also fill existing PDF forms that already have active form fields. Fillable PDF forms can spare you a lot of manual work and printing costs.
Listen to your PDF
Power PDF lets you to "listen" to your PDF and turn a PDF into an audio file. Human-sounding synthesized speech is used to turn every word into a document you can hear and take with you – on your smartphone or favorite media player.
Power PDF Standard and Power PDF Advanced
Power PDF Advanced is a variant of the product designed for deployment in company environments, containing additional features. See Features in Power PDF Advanced in the Contents pane. The Network Installation Guide provides advice to system administrators for product deployment across a network. A system administrator can provide a customized subset of features, so the program runs in Reader mode. The Administrator can select which features to install or exclude; allowing for an experience customized to your enterprise.
