Changing the document class

This topic describes how to change the document class using Knowledge Processing Explorer. It can also be done while inspecting documents.

Important

Use this procedure only if you are certain that you are specifying the correct document class. Changing to the wrong document class, or specifying one that does not exist, interferes with correct document classification using Knowledge Processing. There is a better process for dealing with incorrectly learned document class.

Before starting this procedure, know the exact name of the document class that you want to switch to. You must specify it yourself, and the name is case sensitive.

  1. Start Knowledge Processing Explorer by selecting Start menu > ReadSoft > Capture Components > Knowledge Processing Explorer.

  2. In the Service host box, specify the ReadSoft Knowledge Processing Service host that is used.

  3. Under Active LDPs by document class, expand a document class and select the layout data point (LDP) for which you want to change the document class.

  4. Right-click the LDP (either under Active LDPs by document class or in the LDP neighborhood pane) and select Change document class.

  5. The Change document class dialog is displayed. Start typing a class name and a list of all matching classes is displayed. You can then select the correct class from the list. Refresh the Class neighborhood to view the new changes.

  6. Click OK.
