The Configure parameters dialog

ClosedTo access the parameters of custom actions:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Validation Designer. (For information about working with consoles, see XBOUND Help.)
  2. Under Process Navigation, select a process.
  3. Click the Check out button ().

  4. Select File > Open.
  5. In the Open business rule group or form dialog, select a form to open and click OK.
  6. Select File > Custom actions. The Manage custom actions dialog is displayed.
  7. Select a custom action and click Edit.

    Alternatively, click Add and then double-click a business rule template in the Choose business logic template dialog.

ClosedTo access the parameters of other business rules:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Validation Designer. (For information about working with consoles, see XBOUND Help.)
  2. Under Process Navigation, select a process.
  3. Click the Check out button ().

  4. Select File > Open.

  5. In the Open business rule group or form dialog, select a business rule group to open and click OK.

  6. Now you have these options:

    • Under Document types, right-click an element and select Add business rule.

    • Under Document types, select an object with business rules. (ClosedDescription of symbols used in this pane.)

      Symbol

      Description

      Document type (with and without business rules).

      Field or field group (with and without business rules).

      Table (with and without business rules).

      Table column (with and without business rules).

      Then, under Business logic, right-click an existing rule and select Add rule above or Add rule below – or click the Add rule button.

Name

The name of the business rule.

Parameters

In the combo boxes under Parameters, type the values to use. You can also select a field value or a field name from the current document type.
