Adding controls to a form panel

After you create a form, add controls to a form panel using the below procedure.

Note: This procedure does not apply to web forms.

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Validation Designer. (For information about working with consoles, see XBOUND Help.)
  2. Under Process Navigation, select a process.
  3. Click the Check out button ().

  4. Select File > Open.
  5. In the Open business rule group or form dialog, select a form to open and click OK.
  6. Select File > Form Manipulation.

  7. Under Controls, select a control and drag it onto the form.

  8. Select the control by clicking it, and press the F2 key to quickly edit some of its settings. Or you can edit all its settings in the Properties pane. (More information about the available controls and their settings.)

  9. Move the control to the desired position on the panel by dragging it with the mouse or using the arrow keys.

  10. Change the size of the control by dragging one of its handles with the mouse or holding the Shift key while pressing an arrow key.

  11. Use these buttons to align the selected form controls:

    Aligns all selected form controls to the left / center / right. The reference point is the control that was selected first.

    Aligns all selected controls to the top / center / bottom. The reference point is the control that was selected first.

  12. Save your work.
