Modules: Overview

DOCUMENTS contains two main modules: Administration and Production. There are also several modules tailored to invoice and form flows.

Administration

The Administration module is where administrators set up the solutions that are used to process documents. These solutions contain, for example, settings for policies, documents, compound documents, batches, and production tasks. Administrators can also specify which users and roles can perform which tasks. How a solution is set up depends on your requirements and work flow. Different solutions can also be used to handle different types of documents.

Production

The Production module is where documents are processed. The DOCUMENTS system handles a lot of the processing automatically, but manual input can be required in the form of scanning, inspecting, and verifying documents. Which activities the operators can do depends on the settings specified in the Administration module.

Invoice modules

If you are processing invoices, there are several modules tailored to those flows.

Manager

Use this module for system administration specific to invoices and for creating and editing invoice profiles.

Verify

Use this module to verify invoices. To verify means to check, supplement, and correct the invoices. The program displays extracted field values, and you can confirm, add, or correct values as required.

Optimize

This module is not used in everyday production. The purpose of Invoice Optimize is to speed production by improving extraction and identification. This module is used the most when the invoice flow is being set up for the first time. During this time, all incoming invoices are new to the system. Some invoices cannot be automatically extracted, so you use Invoice Optimize to adjust the invoice definitions associated with the suppliers who sent the invoices.

Note: An additional module can run in the background during production: Invoice Interpret. It can be useful to be aware of this, for example if an Invoice module crashes.
