Good classification and extraction in DOCUMENTS depends on good image quality. It is therefore important to get the best possible images coming into DOCUMENTS. We recommend that you tweak image improvement settings on the scanner side, which places less of the image improvement burden on the Enhance activity.
To set the image quality in a scanning specification:
On the
tab of the Administration module, expand .Click

box, select how many DPI (dots per inch) to scan.Tip: ReadSoft recommends 300 DPI for most black-and-white scanning and 150 DPI for grayscale and color scanning.
Important: When scanning in color at 300 DPI, you must limit the batch size to a maximum of 40 pages. Failure to do so causes problems/errors during the Enhance activity.
