Supported scanners are predefined and cannot be added or deleted.
Each supported scanner also has one or more predefined scanning specifications that are provided by ReadSoft cannot be modified in any way. However, you cancreate your own scanning specificationsto handle different scanning conditions. Settings that can be changed includepaper size,image quality, andpage layout.
Then you select which scanning specification to use for a production task.
To access the advanced scanner settings, click in the dialog:
settings for Kofax scanners are displayed if you are using a Kofax card.
settings for SCSI scanners are displayed if you are using a SCSI card.
Please see the manual supplied with your scanner card for additional information about how to use your scanner functionality. Study the manual for your scanner, as well, before changing any of the settings. Not all settings apply to all scanner models.
Information such as the input source (scanner), original file name, and file type is saved for each scanned page. You can find this information in the output data or retrieve it using the API.
