Fast verify mode is one of two ways of working in Verify.
By default all types of field errors are verified using normal mode. However, character fields and object fields can be fast-verified. Use the settings in the Fast verify dialog to specify which types of errors you want to fast-verify.
In the Verify job description, click Fast verify. The Fast verify dialog is displayed.
Specify which types of errors you want to process in the fast verify mode.
Recommendations:
Interpretation errors, Format errors and Range errors are the most common fast verify selections.
Do not select Unknown characters if such errors come from handwritten fields. If FORMS cannot interpret a handwritten character, it is often the case that the Verify operator must see it in its proper context (that is, in normal mode) in order to recognize it.
If you select Interpretation errors but not Unknown characters, unknown characters are shown in the context of their respective fields rather than as characters pasted together in a row. If you select neither, unknown characters appear in their respective fields, which in turn appear in their proper context on the form— just as other error and status types appear in normal mode.
