This setting affects which pages AutoCrop, OrientationDetection, SoftwareDeskew, BlackBorderRemoval and NoiseRemoval apply to—the first page of an invoice, all invoice pages, or invoice pages + appendix pages. However, other variables also have an effect, for example whether the invoices are being scanned or imported.

If you are importing multi-TIFF files, the above-mentioned settings definitely apply only to the first invoice page, unless you set PreprocessAppendices to 1.

Otherwise, it could be a good rule of thumb to set PreprocessAppendices to 1 if there are any multi-page invoices. Otherwise, set it to 0.
