Automating Interpret and Transfer: Overview

You can run Interpret and Transfer automatically as a Windows service. Services start and stop automatically according to the times you specify, and they can run indefinitely without interaction.

  1. Configure the service.

  2. Start the service.

  3. Recommended: Configure service recovery.

Note

This is intended for INVOICES installations that use several computers on a network. We do not recommend running these services on a stand-alone installation.

When using services, specify UNC (Universal Naming Convention) paths in Eilocal.ini, like this:

[Directory]
GlobalPath=\\computer-name\shared-folder-name

Example:

[Directory]
GlobalPath=\\Sth-test\Program Files\ReadSoft\INVOICES

With some of the newer operating systems you cannot use the computer's IP address but only the host name.

Warning

If Append to existing file is not selected in the Output settings (Transfer job description), the transfer file is overwritten each time the job starts.
