Configuration Manager Purpose

The Configuration manager allows administrators to perform application setup and workflow configuration. You gain access to the Configuration manager via the Configuration manager button in the Console Worklist.

Access control

Access is limited to workflow administrators. Users with the role BPMWorkflowAdmin can access the Configuration Manager. To grant a user this role, you must map a connection between the role and a responsibility in Oracle E-Business Suite. This can be configured in the table D4_ROLES_RESPONSIBILITIES where you can connect BPEL roles with Oracle E-Business Suite responsibilities.

Selecting an Organization

For some Configuration Areas, you must select an organization in the Organization drop-down list available in the Configuration Navigation menu. For other Configuration Areas, the organization is selected during actual setup. In that case, once you have selected the area from the navigation menu, the Organization drop-down is replaced with the text .

When you are configuring an area where the Organization is selected in the navigation drop-down list, make sure to re-select the area after chaning organization to make sure you are working with settings for the correct organization.

Configuration Areas

There are a number of configuration setting areas available.

Changed settings overwrite previous settings. You can only undo changes by saving a new configuration.
