Saving spell-check settings for reuse in Verification process steps

Background

Spell checking of text fields can be enabled during Verification. Operators who do this can specify their own spell-check options.

Alternatively, you can activate spell checking in the Verification process step:

  1. Specify details of how spell-checking should work (described below).

  2. Save the settings with a specific name (also described below).

  3. Select Use process-level spell-check options in the Verification settings, and specify the name of the settings to use in that step.

This procedure allows you to have different groups of spell-check settings that are used in multiple process steps, without having to repeat the configuration procedure each time. Any changes that are needed can also be made per process instead of in each process step.

Tip: The settings can also be used in the SpellCheck business rule.

Note: Spell-check settings specified via the process step take precedence over operators' spell-check settings.

How to save spell-check settings

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Process Designer plug-in. (For information about working with consoles and with the Process Designer, see XBOUND Help.)

  2. Right-click a process and select Parameter Sets.

  3. The Parameter sets for process dialog is displayed. Right-click in the left pane and select New Activity.

  4. The New Activity dialog is displayed. In Path to DLL, specify xboundActOcfVerifier.dll and click OK.

  5. Click Parameter set () and select the desired options, which are the same as those in the Spell-checking options dialog. (Click the link for a description of the options.)

  6. Optional: Click Rename () and specify a name that better describes the settings.
