Note: Do not confuse this activity with Web Verification or with the Verify Documents activity in XBOUND.
This ReadSoft Capture Framework activity is used to configure how operators will verify and correct the content and structure of documents using Verification.
If for some reason you need to add this activity to the Process Designer, the file to add is xboundActOcfVerifier.dll.
These settings are available when configuring a process step of this activity type. (For information about configuring process steps, see XBOUND Help.)
Image handing | |
The format to display the media in. Note: When displaying PDF, this format is converted to an image and displayed as such.
Optional: A default additional medium format for Verification. You can switch between these formats in Verification.
Allows users to rescan, rotate, and save images. If image manipulation is not allowed, the images themselves always remain unchanged. Even if image manipulation is not allowed, the display can be rotated by the user. The rotation angle is then saved as a page property, so that the image can be displayed properly in XBOUND. Exception: If image manipulation is allowed, information about rotation of PDF documents in Verification is lost.
Enables users to print documents during verification.
Displays thumbnails in the document tree. Thumbnails will be generated on the fly or used from a previous activity. Specify the thumbnail size.
Read results | |
The source for a full-text result, which is used for the rubberbanding function.
How to handle characters that cannot be displayed in the extraction results. These characters can be either replaced with a question mark or deleted from the extraction results.
Displays rejected characters as question marks.
Validation | |
Select this if the root document has not yet been validated against the business rule groups that are assigned for the process step. (See Assigning business rule groups to process steps.) This is used to identify invalid documents. Note: For performance reasons it is better to validate documents in a Business Logic process step that is placed just before the Verification step.
Allows users to disable or ignore document validation, even if the document is not yet valid. This setting affects both and . See Confirming a document.
Allows users to exclude a document or page from further processing (for example, if it was scanned by mistake). See Canceling a document or Canceling a page.
Determines when changes to fields are validated:
Important: This setting also affects the execution of business rules associated with the field, as well as conditions that affect the appearance of forms at runtime.
Displays the name of the current field before the validation message.
Focuses on the first invalid field based on tab order. If you deselect this option, the first invalid field based on validation sequence is focused on (this is default).
All input by Verification users is ignored while validation is in progress. Select this option when validation is slow due to low network capacity or other problems. Some users become impatient and press repeatedly. By doing so, they unintentionally confirm subsequent fields. You can avoid that problem by selecting this option. Note: This option applies to every validation, not just when switching to the next document.
The initial valid state of a field is reset before business rules are applied. This is the default setting. Deselect this option if you want to use incoming field-status conditions instead.
If this option is selected and a field's valid status changes, status conditions are recalulated to revalidate the state of the field.
Verification | |
Allows documents to be moved, inserted, split, and merged. (See Restructuring documents.)
Displays a message dialog at the end of the batch.
Enables Verification to learn fixed field values and positions using Knowledge Processing.
Select this option when processing very large root documents.
Uses spell-check options that you previously saved (see instructions). An alternative is to enable spell checking during Verification.
These settings control keyboard shortcuts for the Verification.
Select the existing shortcut and press the keys of your new shortcut.
If needed, you can click to revert to the standard shortcut.
Remove a shortcut by clicking . (This does not remove it from the menu. Deselecting the check box removes the command from the menu.)
