Process Images activity: Add barcode to image

When configuring a Process Images activity, you can use the Add barcode to image function. The content of the barcode can be configured per document type. This option is applied only to TIFF media.

On the Properties tab you can configure the technical properties of the barcode to create.

On the Barcodes tab you configure the content of the barcode used for each document type. Media belonging to documents for which you make no entry in this table are not given any barcode, unless you select Add barcode on media without document type.

These settings are available:

Properties tab

X position

Horizontal position (in pixels) of the barcode's upper left point.

Y position

Vertical position (in pixels) of the barcode's upper left point.

Width

The width of the of the barcode (in pixels) from the specified position.

Height

The height (downwards) of the of the barcode (in pixels) from the specified position.

Relative X position from

Select Left if X position indicates the space from the left margin and Right if X position indicates the space from the right margin.

Relative Y position from

Select Top if Y position indicates the space from the upper margin and Bottom if the Y position indicates the space from the bottom margin.

Barcode type

Select the type of the barcode (see Supported barcodes).

Include printed value

Select if the barcode value is to be printed in readable characters under the barcode.

Work on empty pages

Select if the processing is applied to media whose Empty flag is set.

Additional medium information

Type a value to save in the image properties. (This text will not be visible on the image.) If additional information already exists there, what you enter here will be separated by a semicolon from the existing information. Example:

Before:  ExistingInfo

After:  ExistingInfo;NewInfo

Barcodes tab

Add barcode on media without document type

Select if you want to add a barcode to media that do not have a document type.

Document type

Lists which document types to add the barcode to.

Click + to add a document type. Then the Edit Barcode dialog is displayed.
