This stand-alone application records the time spent preparing documents for processing. That preparation might include:
Removing documents from envelopes.
Removing staples or paper clips.
Dividing documents into stacks.
Applying barcode stickers or inserting batch headers.
XBOUND Preparation can also create the documents in the XBOUND system and record which user performed the work.
Start the XBOUND Preparation application by selecting menu > > > .
Note: The configuration of the Prepare documents process step controls some of the behavior and functionality. Additional options (press to access them) are also selectable from the application.
The user interface can include the following:
Starts or stops the XBOUND session.
Pauses the session when you temporarily leave your workstation, for example.
Deletes the current document or sets a cancellation flag on it, depending on whether is selected in the Document Preparation settings. When are items with a cancellation flag actually deleted? This depends on how your XBOUND process is set up. Normally you would use a process rule to get documents with the cancellation flag (see Specifying which documents to route to a process step) and delete and/or or export them. |
Scan or input the ID for the documents you are preparing.
Scan or input your employee ID.
If prompted to do so, select a client, process, and process step in the boxes. Alternatively, key in that information using the delimiter specified in the dialog. For example, if the delimiter is a slash (/), then the process step would be specified by typing ClientName/ProcessName/ProcessStepName. |
Clears (resets) the input fields.
| Submits the data provided in the input fields. |
