Preparing documents for processing

If your XBOUND system is Closedconfigured to record the time spent preparing documents (this is the case if the configured processes contain a Prepare Documents process step), use the below procedure when performing that work.

Preparing documents for processing in XBOUND might include:

Note: The configuration of the Prepare documents process step controls some of the behavior and functionality. Additional options (press F12 to access them) are also selectable from the application.

Use this procedure

  1. Start the XBOUND Preparation application by selecting Start menu > All Programs > ReadSoft > ReadSoft XBOUND Preparation.

  2. When XBOUND Preparation is displayed, click Start.

  3. If prompted to do so, enter an employee ID or use a hand-held barcode scanner to scan your employee badge. (If no employee ID is entered, the local user is registered by default.)

  4. If prompted to do so, enter a batch ID or use a barcode scanner to scan a batch header or sticker.

  5. If prompted to do so, select a client, process, and process step in the boxes.

Alternatively, key in that information using the delimiter specified in the XBOUND Preparation Options dialog.

For example, if the delimiter is a slash (/), then the process step would be specified by typing ClientName/ProcessName/ProcessStepName.

  6. If you make a mistake, you can click Clear and re-enter the information.

After you provide the requested information, click Enter.

  7. If you step away from your workstation, click Pause to prevent down time from being registered. Click Start again when you return.

  8. When your tasks are finished, click Stop.
