Choose a GL code
Each time you select or use a GL code, it is added to the Recent GL Codes list. This list contains up to ten codes that are filtered by the invoice business unit and the user. This means that the list of Recent GL Codes for an invoice for one business unit differs from the list of Recent GL Codes for an invoice from a different business unit. This history of recent GL codes means that you do not have to manually select a GL code and its segments every time.
There are two different ways that you can choose a GL code for one or more line items.
Important For a GL code, each of the individual segments are validated. However, the combination of these segments is not validated.
This means that it is necessary to use the segments in an accepted combination. GL code segment combinations are usually defined in
the ERP system.
