Create an ERP import job schedule

To configure the optimal schedule, consider the amount of the ERP master data. If you have a large amount of the ERP master data and you set the import job schedule to run too often, performance issues may occur.

To set up a job schedule for the import of the ERP master data to the Kofax AP Agility database:

  1. Log on to TotalAgility Designer as an Administrator.
  2. On the menu, select System > Job schedules.

    A list of job schedules is displayed for the default category.

  3. From the Category list, select AP Agility.

    A list of job schedules is displayed for the AP Agility category.

  4. Click New.

    The New job schedule window is displayed.

  5. Create a new import schedule as follows.
    1. Enter a Name.
    2. From the Category list, select AP Agility.
    3. Ensure that the job schedule is Active.
    4. From the Process list, select the AP Agility category and then select AP Data Import.

      Several settings specific to this process are displayed.

    5. Ensure that the Initialization parameters table has an empty Clean up Master Data value.

      If you set the Clean up Master Data to True you may delete master data that does not match the current date range for your ERP system in the Settings > ERP Connections.

    6. Configure the Schedule as needed.
    7. Configure the Options as needed.

      We recommend that you set up the import job schedule to run once a day. In case of performance issues, you may want to schedule the import job at a non-peak time period.

  6. Click Save to save the import job schedule.
