What's new
The following new features are introduced in Device Web Server.
- Fujifilm Unified Client: New card reader support.
- Lexmark Unified Client: Send user email address to AutoStore while using Printix as authentication.
- Lexmark Unified Client: A notification appears during self-card registration if an invalid PIN is entered.
- Xerox Unified Client: Ability to customize the application icon.
- Xerox Unified Client: Hide Back button in decoupled mode.
The following new features are introduced in Device Web Server for the Konica Minolta Unified Client.
- Option to select the last used and most recently used billing codes.
- Konica Minolta devices can display a QR code that links to the Unified Client for Konica Minolta online help from the online documentation site.
- TLS 1.2 or 1.3 is used to secure the connection to the Tungsten application servers. The TLS level is now shown on the server status screen.
- Users can be prompted for multi-factor authentication when registering their ID card against their user account when using Microsoft Entra ID.
- Print preferences through Output Manager can now be applied to multiple print jobs.
- The print release screen displays a refresh button in the center of the screen that allows the user to refresh the print job view and show new jobs added since logon.
- The Print Details screen is refreshed with a cleaner, more modern design that is in line with other Unified Clients.
- Native device fax jobs are tracked and sent to the centralized database for reporting purposes.
- Additional RRTs are now available to use with the unified client. RRTs can now be saved as part of the capture process.
- Additional scan settings provided by the device are now available for use
with AutoStore and the Unified Client.
- If the device cannot support a scan setting, it will not be selectable on the device or a warning message is displayed.
- The administrator can configure the Scan-To-Email form within AutoStore to hide the email address in the To field.
- Users can search a directory folder structure and use filters to locate the folder that they want to scan documents into with AutoStore.
- The administrator can configure the minimal and maximum length for text fields that are used on the Unified Client, as well as configuring a separator character and making the field a numeric text field only.
- The administrator can input a fixed numeric field used on the embedded client as well as configuring additional parameters of minimum, maximum and precision entries.
- Additional enhancements are added to the user interface, such as:
- Clear data from input fields using an X button.
- Add icons to Scan Settings screen.
- View a busy indicator while print jobs load onscreen.
- Receive a scan complete message added to inline notifications.
- A PIN toggle shows/hides new PIN number on Card Registration Screen for Output Manager.
- Program a bypass button to access device functions.
- A single Output Manager workflow direct to Output Manager print release.
- Updated the color of the delete key.
- Option to change application icon on device.
