Design a dashboard

Insight provides an option to design and configure dashboards, which help to present data in a clear and informative way.

For this sample project, we will focus on the basic dashboard options.

To design a dashboard using the Order count metric, complete the following steps.

  1. On the Guide screen, select Add new view.
  2. Name the view. Type Order count dashboard and click OK.

    An empty view canvas appears. Here you can build your dashboard.

  3. In the View tab, on the Component toolbar, click the chart icon to view a list of chart types.
  4. Select the Bar chart icon, and click and drag it onto the canvas. As you drag the chart, a dotted line guide appears to help you position the chart on the grid.
  5. When you drop the chart onto the canvas, a Data series wizard appears. A default Order count metric is attached to the chart. Click OK.
