Contract Manager installation
This section describes individual installation of the KCM Contract Manager to a single server where it hasn't been installed yet.
Contract Manager acts as the main entry point that hands out work to multiple KCM instances.
To install this component separately, use a command-line tool AddContractManager.exe.
AddContractManager.exe doesn't install the Contract Manager in a running state. You can find the instructions on running this component in the Starting Contract Manager section of this guide.
Additional requirements
This section lists the prerequisites and preparatory steps you have to take before you run AddContractManager.exe.
The <deploy root> folder where you are going to install the software, must consist of ASCII characters.
Before you start, make sure that your environment satisfies the general KCM installation requirements.
- The account used to run AddContractManager.exe must have the local Administrator permissions on the target server.
- Prepare the user account for KCM web applications. This can be a local account or a domain account. It requires:
- Logon as a service right.
- Read & execute permission on the Tomcat installation folder.
- If you plan to use SSL connections to KCM server, then assign Read permission on the SSL keystore file. See also ContractManager!UseSSL parameter description in the table below.
