This topic provides details about the Content Manager attributes. Note the following:

• All required Content Manager root attributes or first level child component attributes must be linked to Kofax Values. Required attributes are marked with an asterisk (*).

• At least one root attribute or child component attribute must be linked to a Kofax Value, even if no attributes are listed as required.

• Only the first level appears for the child component attributes of a selected item type. Display format:

  {<Child Component name>}:<Attribute name>. 

  First-level child components without child component attributes are not displayed.

• When entering multiple values for the first level child component attributes, you must use a delimiter to separate the values for visual clarity. For example, if you specified a single semicolon (;) as the delimiter for the multi-value separator, you would enter the following:

  apple;orange;pear

  No spaces should exist between the entries to separate the values. See the General Settings tab to specify a multi-value separator.

• The number of multiple values specified for the first level child component attributes must equal the remaining attributes within a child component (if any).Therefore, the cardinality of each set of multiple values entered in each child component attribute must be equal, even if the attribute value is left blank.

  For example, if you enter the following information for the export connector (assuming that you specified a single semicolon (;) as the delimiter for the multi-value separator):

  *Car Make Chevrolet;;Ford; GM

  The following results appear in Content Manager:

  Car Make

  Chevrolet

  Ford

  GM
