Database Settings tab
For a selected database you can configure the following settings:
- Database source

The location of the database source file is displayed. For a newly-added database no path and file information is displayed as you have to configure the settings first by selecting Import Settings.
- Database type

The type of database. This can be one of the following values:

Text file (URL/UNC location)

Text file (uploaded file)

Relational database (SQL, Oracle, or ODBC)

- Database status

The status of the selected databases. following values are available for a selected database.
- Created

This status is displayed for a newly added database for which the fuzzy database is not yet created.
A newly created database is kept in memory only, until the fuzzy database is created. That means that if the standalone Search and Matching Server or Load Balancer is stopped all database having the database status Created are no longer available.
- Error

Is displayed when an error occurred, for example during the database import, and the database is not ready for use. To fix an error you need to check the import settings and import the database again.
- Importing

Is displayed while the database is imported according to the configured import settings.
- Loading

Is displayed while a database is updated by the automatic update.
- Ready

Is displayed when a fuzzy database was created, imported and is now ready to use.
- Unloading

Is displayed when a database is unloaded from the memory.
- Total records

After a database is imported the number of imported records of the fuzzy index is displayed.
The following buttons are available to maintain and configure your databases:
- Import Settings

Click this button in order to define the import settings for a text file or a relational database, such as the database source file, the columns that are used to build the fuzzy index, and other import options and string substitutions.
- General Settings

Click this button in order to define the general settings for the automatic update and other load options.
The Table Records Preview displays a preview of the selected database. This enables you to see a snippet of the database contents to ensure that this is the correct database.
