The menu
The Kofax Search and Matching Server Administration provides a standard Windows-style menu bar with the following settings:
- Server

The Server menu has the following settings.
- Connect
-
Establishes the connection to the Kofax Search and Matching Server. When the connection is established, you can add new databases or maintain existing ones.
- Disconnect
-
Shuts the connection to the Kofax Search and Matching Server down.
- Refresh
-
Refreshes the list of available databases. This is useful in case more than one user utilizes the Kofax Search and Matching Server Administration to maintain databases for the same Kofax Search and Matching Server. Alternatively, you can press F5 as shortcut key to refresh the list of available databases.
- Exit

Closes the Kofax Search and Matching Server Administration application.
- Edit
-
The Edit menu has the following settings.

Add
-
Opens a window so that you can type the name for the new fuzzy database and select the database type, either a delimited text file (csv) or a relational database.
- Activate
-
Enables or disables a selected database for the access from a Kofax workflow. An icon is displayed next to the database name in the list of available databases to indicate whether a database is activated
or deactivated
. You can select multiple databases from the Available Databases list to activate or deactivate several databases at once. If you select a database that has database status other than Ready or Error the Activate/Deactivate menu is disabled.
The label of this setting changes depending on the status of the selected database. The following values are available for this button.

Rename
-
The Rename Database window is displayed in order to change the name of a selected fuzzy database. To rename an activated database you have to deactivate it first.

Remove
-
Deletes the selected database from the server. Note that you can delete a database only if it is deactivated so that it can no longer be accessed by a Kofax workflow. You can select multiple databases to be removed.

Export
-
Displays the Export Databases window to export the settings for one or more databases and the corresponding fuzzy databases as a zip file. You can import an exported database to be used for another Kofax Search and Matching Server.
If you have selected a database that does not have the status Ready or Error, Export is not available.
If you select multiple databases in the list of available databases and then click Export the selected databases are automatically selected for export in the Export Databases window.

Import

Displays the Import Databases window to import one or more databases that is exported from another Kofax Search and Matching Server.

Add
- Cluster
-
The Cluster menu has the following settings.
- Cluster Management
-
Displays the Cluster Management window to allow adding new or removing existing cluster nodes and setting a client cluster node as the primary node that is used to synchronize the all cluster nodes for the connected Load Balancer.
- Convert to Stand-Alone Server
-
Reverts a selected server, which is defined as the primary node or secondary cluster node, to become a standalone Kofax Search and Matching Server that is no longer managed by the a Load Balancer. This is especially useful as a kind of fall back when a load balancer is no longer accessible, but you need to access the configured databases of that server, for example to set up a new Load Balancer.

Displays the Select Application Language window, where you can choose the language for the graphical user interface of the Kofax Search and Matching Server Administration on the local machine.
