Add a Table Model
Before you can add a table locator, you need to create a table model to define what global columns or user-defined columns are expected in the table.
- On the Project tab, in the Configuration group, select Project Settings .
- Click the Tables tab to view the table settings.
-
In the
Table Models group, click
Add New Table Model
.
A window that enables you to type a name for the new table model is displayed.
- Type a name for the new table model into the field and click OK. The new table model is added to the list of table models.
-
Double-click the new table model.
The Table Model Properties window is displayed.
-
Select the columns you want in your table model and click
Assign
to assign them to your table model.
Several global columns, highlighted in yellow, have default values that are used if a column has no value or is not present in the table.
You can also rearrange the order of the columns in your table model by using the Move Up and Move Down button.
- For each column added to your table model, the column is automatically visible during validation, with the exception of "Match Remark." Clear the Visible option for any columns that you do not want to display in the table during validation.
- Click Close to save the table model.
- Optionally, click OK to close the Project Settings window.
- Save the changes to your project.
