Export Classification Instructions
You can export instructions for re-use in other projects. This is useful when you maintain separate projects with similar requirements.
For example, a bank has one project that processes employee documents, including job application forms and their cover letters. These documents contain keywords such as "salary," "credit rating," and "current employer. " To aid in classification, the bank included instructions using these keywords. Another customer-orientated project also processes documents that contain the same keywords. However, this project processes bank loan applications.
Instead of recreating the instructions, the bank exported the instructions from the job application form project by following these steps:
- In the main Transformation Designer window, hide or close any windows that block the Ribbon.
- Open the Project Tree window if it is not already open.
- Expand the Project Tree and select the class.
-
Optionally,
view the class contents if they are not
already displayed.
The hidden class contents are displayed.
-
On the
Design tab, in the
Edit group, click
Export
.
The Export Instructions window, is displayed.
-
Type a descriptive file name and click
Save.
The Import Instructions window closes and the instructions are saved to the designated file.
