Update the workflow settings

You can update the workflow settings, such as category and landing page, and specify who has maintenance access for your workflow solution, on the Workflow Details tab in Quick Workflow, without having to go to TotalAgility Designer for updating these settings.

  1. In the Workflow details page, click .

    The Workflow settings dialog box is displayed.

  2. On the Category list, select a category in which you want to store your workflow and associated artifacts. (Default: Working category)
  3. On the Landing page list, select an alternative form to be used within the Workspace when using your solution.
  4. You can configure the following:
    • Who can modify this solution

    • Who can use this solution

  5. Click OK.

Who can modify this solution

You can control who can modify your workflow solution, for example, if you do not want to expose your solution or do not want anyone to change it. By default, Everyone group can modify a solution. You can provide access to individuals and/or groups and if the group that you need is not available, you can create a new group.

Maintenance access is set on all supported items generated on publish.

To provide access to existing individuals and/or groups, perform the following steps:

  1. Click .
  2. On the Name list, select the individual or group name.
  3. On the Type list, select the access type required:

    Full control

    A resource with this access type can create and modify the solution, and can restrict the access permissions.

    Read write

    A resource with this access type can create and modify the solution, but not change access permissions

    Read

    A resource with this access type can only view the solution but not create or modify it.

    If you do not have any permissions then the solution is not available on the solutions list.

  4. Click Add.

    Add more individuals and groups as needed.

  5. Click OK.

    To edit the access, select the individual or group, click , make changes as needed and click OK.

    To delete the access, select the individual or group, click and click OK.

    To create a new group, perform the following steps:

    1. Click New Group. The New group dialog box is displayed.

    2. Enter a name for the group.

    3. Click Add to add group members. The Add group members dialog box is displayed.

    4. Add individuals and or groups as needed and click Done.

    5. Click Save to save the new group.

    You can only open a solution if you have the required access permissions.

    You can delete the solution only if you have "Read write" or "Full control" permissions.

Who can use this solution

You can control who can use the workflow solution at runtime, for example, if you are creating a solution for a specific group or do not want others to have access to it. By default, Everyone group can access a solution.

  1. Click Add.

    The Add dialog box is displayed.

  2. Add individuals and or groups as needed.

    You can provide access to individuals and/or groups and if the group that you need is not available, you can create a new group. To create a new group, perform the similar steps mentioned for "Who can modify this solution".

  3. Click Done.

    When you publish the solution, only the selected groups or individuals get the functional access permissions (Create, suspend, terminate, restart, place on hold, view job details, change scan/VRS profile, change separation settings) for the generated process. For others, the workflow card is not available on the Quick Workflow page in the TotalAgility Workspace.
