Generate a separation benchmark with golden files

If you have a prepared set of golden files that includes classification and separation information, you can perform a separation benchmark without modifying your document set by following these steps:

  1. Open the Documents window if it is not already open.
  2. In the Documents window, on the toolbar, click Open Document Set Open Document Set icon.

    The Open Document Set window is displayed.

  3. Browse to and select your golden files, choose a file type, and a directory option, and click OK.

    The golden files are loaded and displayed in the Documents window.

  4. If a different view is in use, switch to the Hierarchy view Documents Window - Hierarchy View icon.
    Note The Hierarchy view is available only for test sets or benchmark sets when the default document subset is selected. If any other document subset is selected, the Hierarchy View Documents Window - Hierarchy View icon toolbar option is not available.
  5. On the Process tab, in the Benchmark group, click Separation Benchmark - Separation icon.

    This loads the test documents into memory, merges all of the pages from all documents into a single document, and then separates the resulting document using your separation settings. A progress bar indicates what percentage of the documents processed.

    Tip You can also press Ctrl+F9 to begin a separation benchmark.

    When the progress bar reaches 100%, the Separation Benchmark window opens and displays the results for analysis.
