Retrieval menus

This topic lists the buttons available in the File and Home menus of the Retrieval module.

Home menu

Group Button Description
Query Reset Query

Resets the current query and deletes the entered search criteria.

Run Query

Runs a query based on the entered criteria.

Query Definitions Save Query

Saves the current query for later use.

Load Query

Loads previously saved queries.

Output Print Document

Prints the current page with or without annotation.

Email Document

Opens the Mail Message Editor dialog box to send the image file of the currently viewed page as an attachment. You can include annotations with the attached file.

Work Queue

Documents and pages can be queued for printing or emailing. Selecting this command displays the following submenu:

  • Add Current Page to Queue: Adds a specific page to the work queue.

  • Add Current Document to Queue: Adds a specific document to the work queue.

  • Add All Documents from Current Query to the Queue: Adds all query results to the work queue.

  • View/Process Queue: Opens the Work Queue dialog box, where you can print, fax, or email the files in queue. There are also options to include annotations, print/email multiple files as one, unselect/remove individual files, or clear the entire queue.

View Options Open New Viewer

Opens a new viewer. Useful for viewing multiple files simultaneously.

Toggle Thumbnail Viewer

Pages are viewed as thumbnails in the Image Viewer pane.

Results View

Offers you to view the results in form view or grid view.

Annotations Toggle Annotation Editing

Reveals or hides the annotation editing toolbar and annotation settings pane, where you can add commentary to the retrieved image. You can add highlights, shapes, text, and other on-demand details to the document with the tools available.

Toggle Annotation Display

Toggles between the original document and the annotated document.

File menu

Button Description
Open Image for Compare

Opens Windows Explorer to view image files from an external source.

Exit

Exits PSIcapture.

If a batch is currently open, you are prompted to close or suspend the batch. The PSIcapture application then closes.
