Import/Export Device Profiles

With this feature, you can import or export device profiles across different capture profiles and computers within or outside the network.

This feature is only available from the File menu of the Capture / Import and Quality Assurance modules.

Select whether you want to import or export device profiles.
- Import device profiles: Imports device profiles from other capture profiles.
- Export device profiles: Exports device profiles to other capture profiles.
Select the type of device that conforms to the profile you want to import or export.

PSIcapture supports two major device driver groups: ISIS / TWAIN scanning and Adrenaline / VRS drivers. The third option is Import, which selects a source directory. For example, if you want to export TWAIN scanner drivers, select ISIS / TWAIN.
Select where the imported or exported profiles are stored.
- Integrated Capture Server storage
  
  For import, this option can only import device profiles that match the following criteria:
  - The device profile was previously configured in the Capture/Import workflow step as discussed in Configure Device Profiles.
  - During configuration when the device profile was added, the check box was selected to share the profile.
    
    If the box was not selected, import the profile from a custom location instead.
- A custom location
  
  Browse to an accessible path to find device profile files that have been saved locally. By default, PSIcapture stores device profiles in C:\ProgramData\PSIGEN\Capture\Devices.
  
  From this location, find the subfolder appropriate to your type of device (for example, Import or ISIS), depending on the driver type.
After all previous steps are done, click Next.

The dialog box switches to the Profile Selection page.
Select the profiles you want to import or export.
Click Import or Export depending on your initial selection.
