Adding an activity to the Process Designer

A variety of activities are already available for you to use in XBOUND. (If no activities are available, this is a sign that the database was not correctly initialized. Please refer to XBOUND Installation Guide.) You can also add your own, for example if an activity was developed specifically for your company. The activities are then available in the far right pane of the Process Designer.

Use this procedure to add a new activity to XBOUND:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Process Designer.

  2. In the Process Designer, select File > New Activity.

  3. In the Choose Activity Group dialog, select an activity group to add the new activity to. (The far right pane of the Process Designer is divided into different activity groups.)

  4. In the New Activity dialog, after Path to DLL, select the path to the DLL file containing the activity. (ClosedList of standard activities with their file names.) Then the system fills in the name, version, and class name. Adjust the other settings if desired.
