SLA Reporting activity

This activity is used to set up service level agreement (SLA) reporting in a process. The SLAs can be monitored in the SLA Report Manager. See Displaying SLA data.

Where to add the SLA Reporting process step

Add the SLA Reporting process step at the point right before which you need the SLA data. The process steps before the SLA process step cannot be used in the SLA reports.

The SLA Reporting process step is most often added after the Register Documents or Scan Documents process step. As a final process step, it would make no sense.

As a general rule, add the SLA Reporting process step as early as possible in the process.

Note: This activity must be assigned to an Activities Service in order to run.

If for some reason you need to add this activity to the Process Designer, the file to add is xboundActivitySLAReporting.dll.

The following settings are available when configuring a process step of this activity type.

Overwrite completion time when rerouting documents

If there is a second SLA process step in the process, the completion time (the SLAFinishTime property) can be overwritten by the second one.

Use document creation date to calculate completion dates

Completion dates are based on when documents were created in the system.

Use throughput time to calculate completion date

Completion dates are based on when the documents reached the SLA Reporting process step.

Use calendar to calculate completion date

When a calendar is selected, the work time specified in that calendar is used to calculate the SLA deadlines. The calendar is then also used by the SLA Report Manager and the Agent for SLA Notification to calculate the time remaining.

See Creating an XBOUND calendar.
