XBOUND plug-ins: Overview

A number of plug-ins are available in XBOUND, and each plug-in has its own specific purpose.

All plug-ins are loaded in consoles in the XBOUND Management Center. After installation, some plug-ins are already available in the Management Center by default. You can add additional plug-ins to make them available to the XBOUND Management Center. Then you can add the plug-in to a Management Center console.

Plug-in	Used for
Assign Activities	Assigning activities to the Activities Service.
Business Logic Designer	Obsolete. Replaced by Validation Designer.
Common Configuration Manager	Adjusting the XBOUND configuration settings.
Data Manager	Managing settings for audit messages, collecting statistical data, and creating/changing/deleting medium format objects or status objects.
Form Designer	Obsolete. Replaced by Validation Designer.
License Information	Managing and viewing XBOUND licenses.
Localization Manager	Translating the XBOUND interface or translating a third-party user interface to a new language.
Log Explorer	Searching and filtering log messages.
Master Data Designer	Obsolete. Replaced by Validation Designer.
Process Designer	Creating and configuring processes.
Process Monitor	Monitoring processes and controlling them.
Report Manager	Customizing and displaying XBOUND reports.
Security Manager	Managing privileges (what users can do) in XBOUND.
Session Manager	Viewing and deleting XBOUND sessions.
SLA Report Manager	Monitoring service level agreement (SLA) reporting.
System Agent Manager	Adding and configuring system agents.
Validation Designer*	Configuring how documents are validated and verified. This includes: Configuring business rules. (In previous RCF versions, this was done using the Business Logic Designer.) Creating forms that specify how RCF Verification works, and what it looks like when you are verifying a specific document type. (Previously done using the Form Designer.) Connecting to a database and creating a database query in order to transfer master data to XBOUND fields. (Previously done using the Master Data Designer.)

A couple of other applications can be used within XBOUND. These are not stand-alone applications and do not need to be added as plug-ins.

Application	Used for
Document Manager	Manually selecting documents for processing. Used with XBOUND Document Verifier, for example.
Rescan	Rescanning documents when scanned documents are missing or the quality of the scanned images is poor.
