Remove the audit log entries
Clear entries from your audit log file periodically to keep the size of the log file from becoming unmanageable. Either clear the entire log file or remove specific log types and entries for specific periods.
- On the Administration menu, click Remove Audit Log Entries.
-
Do one of the following:
-
Select Remove All to remove all audit log entries.
-
Select From Specific Period and use the calendars to select From and To dates.
-
-
On the
Audit Log Types list, select the type of audit log to remove.
If you do not select an audit log type, all logs for the specified period are deleted.
- Click Remove.
-
When prompted, click
Yes to confirm the removal.
A message indicates whether the log entries are removed. Once the audit log entries are removed, the list of the removed entries is available in the audit log.
If a service account does not have database owner or sysadmin rights, permission is denied to clear the audit log entries.
