Auto rotate orients images based on the direction that the text is facing when a sheet passes through the scanner. To select automatic rotation, apply the Auto Rotate setting in the Scanner Settings tab in the View or Change Scan Settings window.

• Auto Rotate is effective if you are scanning sheets that contain only text and are not oriented uniformly. TotalAgility evaluates the text on each sheet and automatically rotates the image and eliminates the need to pre-sort pages.
• Auto Rotation is not recommended if you are scanning uniformly arranged sheets that face the same way as they pass through the scanner.
• If a sheet has only pictures or unclear text, Auto Rotate may not be able to evaluate the orientation effectively.

• If Auto Rotate cannot determine the orientation of a sheet with confidence, TotalAgility does not rotate the image.

• Auto Rotate may impact performance, based on the content of the sheet, the language of the text, the speed of the scanner, the selected resolution and color mode, and the capability of your computer.
