Annotations toolbar

In MarkView Viewer, you place annotations to add information to documents. With annotations, you can highlight parts of the image, collect or share information in context, and hide sensitive information in a document.

The annotations that you are authorized to use are located on the vertical toolbar next to the image. If icons do not fit into the toolbar, click the Overflow button Overflow tool to view the full list of available annotations. The list of annotation tools is defined on the server side and can be configurable. The MarkView administrator is authorized to customize available annotations.

To show more or hide extra annotations, click the Expand and Collapse controls at the bottom of the toolbar. The viewer automatically saves all size changes for your account. The collapsed toolbar shows icons only. Hover over the icon to view the annotation name. If icons do not fit into the toolbar, use the Overflow tool Overflow tool to view all available annotations.

By default, you can add, edit, and view your own annotations. Based on your permissions, you can see annotations made by others, but you cannot modify them.

Adding an annotation does not update the document workflow, except for the New Document annotation, which ends the workflow of one document and starts the workflow of another document.
